Richard Tremmel is currently Instructor of Entertainment Industry Studies at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi in the Delta Music Institute. He teaches courses in Fundamentals of Sound Cognition, Entertainment Industry Survey, Entertainment Industry Entrepreneurship, Entertainment Product Marketing, Live Sound Production, and Pro Tools Game Audio.
His original music has been used in Discovery Channel's "Auction Kings", in "Catering Wars" on Lifetime Channel, on History Channel's "American Restoration", as bumper music on CMT's Hot 20 Countdown, and on Tennis Channel. His song Deadly Temptation has also appeared on NBC Sports Network in an episode of "Nitro Circus Crazy Train".
Tremmel spent three years in Hollywood, CA in the late '80s, which included performances in world famous venues The Whisky, The Troubador, and The Roxy; he has been an active performer as bassist and keyboardist in diverse settings throughout North Carolina. He has been in bands that have performed at the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in 2007-2009 and in the opening slots for Tesla, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jackyl, Bret Michaels, Big Head Todd, Firehouse, Pat Travers, Candlebox, Seven Mary Three, Ratt, Blackberry Smoke, and others. Most recently he was covering the synthesizer parts for Eclipse -The Pink Floyd Experience, based in Charlotte, NC.
Tremmel holds a Bachelor of Music with Business emphasis degree from East Carolina University, a Master of Music Education degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Master of Science degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. In June of 2012 he completed a Specialist Certificate in Orchestrating and Producing Music for Film and Games through Berklee College of Music and has continued to study music composition for film and television under Los Angeles composer Ben Newhouse.
